Destroy, Consume, Rebuild”

It was like any other day
I woke up about a quarter after eight
the kid got me up to go out and play
he’s been trying to help me stay in shape
Persevere through the pain and you will see
the person you’ve always wanted to be

When suddenly we heard a scream
echoing throughout the street
all the neighbors came out to take a peak

Whats that looming

off in the distance
it seems persistent
it appears
its coming this way

Bodies pile high
we pray and wonder why

They would slaughter

innocent people
having no remorse
killing all
who try to fight and resist

Bodies pile high
we pray and wonder why

I shield his eyes
so he won’t have to witness this
our species dies
I carry him from the abyss
We watch them rise
destroy consume and rebuild
We form allies
rebel and pray we don’t get killed

Our beloved city falls to ruins

We need to formulate a plan and figure out what they are pursuing

They’ve deprived us from what we need
poison the water and the air that we breathe

they unleashed a plague
an airborne virus
that will kill us in days
defenseless and helpless
were wait suffocate

Purging the planet
destroying all of humanity
our history
erasing what we have achieved

Bodies pile high
we pray and wonder why

Embrace the abyss
for our only savior
died years ago

There is no hope
We’ve lost our home

I shield his eyes
so he won’t have to witness this
our species dies
I carry him from the abyss
We watch them rise
destroy consume and rebuild
We form allies
rebel and pray we don’t get killed

I hold him close for this may be our last moment together
I begin to think of all the memories
I’ll cherish them forever

We watch the world set to flames
by the ones who created us and made us their game
All that will remain is our monuments our teeth and bones
